Blurb

Nathan Warner is leery when Cassie Prescott, an old friend and unforgettable one-night stand, offers him the promise of easy money…and easier loving. After her aunt’s death, Cassie is bequeathed one hundred thousand dollars, but can only collect in one of two ways: Upon her thirtieth birthday, or after a marriage.

The twenty-five year old schemer is unwilling to wait five years to collect her inheritance; she intends to use her windfall to fund a new life. But when she asks Nathan to be her husband, she’s perplexed by his outright refusal. Not even the ten thousand dollars she offers as payment sways him.

When Cassie offers the hunky contractor the one thing he can’t refuse–nightly conjugal visits–Nathan accepts her proposal. Both parties think they’ve won. Yet their new alliance uncovers secrets from the past–secrets that threaten to destroy a passion neither is strong enough to resist.

Excerpt

“Make the bitch wait,” called the familiar voice from the other side. “Can I come in?”

Cassie?

Suddenly flustered, he looked around his bedroom, dismayed to see a week’s worth of magazines and newspapers piled in one corner of the room. The weights and jump rope sitting in the other corner weren’t going to move into his closet by themselves, either. Wait. It’s only Cassie. Why am I freaking out like this? “Yeah. Come on in.”

She poked her head through the door. He was amazed at how good she looked. She’d sheared off half her hair months ago, right before Linda’s departure, and had never grown it back out. Though he’d never been much of a fan of women with short hair, the slick cut really worked for her. Cassie Prescott looked more stunning than ever.

“Hey, hot stuff,” she said. The white sundress she wore looked great against the bronze of her skin, and her legs seemed extra long in the sexy ivory mules that showed off her freshly pedicured toes. Hot pink. “You have a minute?”

“Not really,” he lied, tearing his eyes away from her. “And how the hell did you get in here, anyway?”

Her gaze was trained on his bare chest as she spoke, and he thought he detected a bit of a blush spreading across her pretty face. “I still have a key, remember? Linda gave it to me years ago. How else do you think I used to get in to watch TV in the guest bedroom?”

He rolled his eyes. “Well, I haven’t seen you use it since Linda moved to California.”

“Never had a reason to until now.” She shrugged. “Do you want me to give it back?”

“What I really want is for you to tell me why you’re here. And don’t give me any bull about wanting to chill with old friends.”

Her eyes narrowed as she moved toward him. She scanned the room briefly, but soon, she was staring at him in that disconcerting way she had. She plopped down beside him. “What can I do to get you to change your mind, Nathan?”

“Nothing.” Her fragrance was driving him crazy. It was a blending of natural scents — lavender, apple, and maybe honey — wafting off her hair and body. Angered by her closeness, he was forced to remember how good it had felt to be enveloped in that smell. “There’s nothing you can say or do to change my mind.”

“I don’t believe that.” She gazed unflinchingly into his eyes and smiled — a calculating smile if he ever saw one. “In fact, old friend, I’ve thought of a way to sweeten the deal for both of us.”

Something in her tone made his blood rush into his cock. He recognized the throaty rasp of it; his traitorous flesh did, too. When Cassie put on that voice, it meant she was playing hardball. Nathan grinned. He’d play harder.

“Oh yeah? Sweeten it even more than ten grand? How you gonna do that, gorgeous?”

She smiled at him and absently ran her hand over his chest. A manipulative gesture to be sure. But that didn’t stop his nipples from hardening. “If you agree to be my husband, not only will I give you ten percent of my inheritance, but I’ll also allow you conjugal visits.”

Dilana Storm only wants Christmas to be over. All the holiday cheer is bringing back painful memories. Even the raunchy revelry of the annual party at Rarities Inc. cannot jump-start her holiday spirit. An unexpected visitor sets her on a wild ride that even she, a Zuri Maji, never expected.

Magni Taggart is used to following his instincts. They lead him to Rarities Inc. to search for his lost family heirloom. He never expected to meet an unusual woman who wakens all his primitive senses. For a man who trusts his instincts there is only one thing to do.

Excerpt

“How did you get in?”

Magni brow quirked. “The door.”

His tone was mild contrasting to the intensity of his gaze and on his face. With a confident stride he stepped forward. Dilana stepped back to avoid touching him. Magni came into the room, took a glance around and walked over and sat in a chair facing her. He steepled his long masculine fingers under his chin and watched her.

“Mr. Taggart even if you are a client breaking and entering is against the law. If you are here for an update contact me in the morning.”

He smiled again a slow preparatory grin. “Magni. You don’t want me to leave. You’re a hard woman to find Dilana.”

Despite his slight accented voice rolling over her like rich molasses his tone of confidence got her back up. Dilana stalked over to him stopping just before she reached him.

Dilana gritted out in between clenched teeth. “Yes I do. Get the hell out, now.”

He stood up with barely restrained force taking a step forward. Dilana stepped back before she caught herself and stubbornly stood her ground.

“Well talk in the morning. You can have an update then.” Dilana said trying to hold her temper.

“You. I’m here for you Dilana.” His voice was sensual yet lethal.

Blurb

Thirty-five year old Aspen Townsend was home for the holidays. She had a great job and wonderful friends. This holiday season, thanks to the disobedience of a four-year old, Aspen was also reunited with a tanned man who bore silver eyes from her past.

At thirty-eight and facing his first Christmas season out of the rodeo circuit in many years, Colt Larkin wasn’t exactly looking forward to spending the holidays in the sleep little town where he grew up. Until, he came face to face with the mocha beauty he had thought about since high school. Unfortunately, she seemed to harbor an intense dislike for him.

Can he convince her of the truth, or will the lie she has believed for the past twenty years keep them apart?

It happened once before, so perhaps all they need to do, to find their holiday hearts together is…

Add A Little Mistletoe…

Excerpt

Going around the corner, Aspen found herself facing a group of folks that she hadn’t liked even when they were in school. Apparently twenty years didn’t change her opinion. Still, she smiled as she passed them.

Laughter at her back made her stiffen. But she stopped dead when she heard them mention how the only way a man would kiss her was on a dare. Brown fire raged in her eyes as she turned toward them. The five people shut their mouths and before Aspen could say a word, that potent male voice from her dreams became reality beside her.

Colt Larkin.

“Hey, guys,” he said to the group. Then he put his attention on the woman next to him. With one index finger, he brought her eyes around to his. Her eyes lost their fire and filled with uncertainty. “What time do you want me to come over and help trim your tree?”

Aspen couldn’t speak. If she didn’t know better, she would say he was trying to help her. “I don’t know,” she mumbled.

Leaning in close, he looked over her head and into the cart. Whispering in her ear, “Eight.”

“Eight?” she barely managed to get out.

“Sounds great.” He moved away from her body, his hand lingering along her back. “By the way, thanks for a wonderful breakfast this morning.” He winked at her and glared at the people watching them dumbfounded before walking off.

Aspen was mortified. Not that the first rumor wasn’t bad enough, now this one would be circling around town. Livid, she stormed off after him, “Colt!” she yelled at his retreating back.

With effortless movement, he turned back around. “Yes, Aspen?”

She stomped over to him, leaving her cart behind along with the knowledge that they had an audience. “What the hell were you thinking, telling me ‘thank you’ for breakfast this morning?”

A gleam grew in his eyes that made her think of the devil-may-care attitude he had in high school, when he did what he wanted to get what he wanted. “So I shouldn’t have thanked you for breakfast, then? And, afterward, in the living room?”

“That is not what I meant. I don’t see the need to tell people.” She didn’t see the astonished looks from the town’s members.

“But it was six-thirty this morning. I didn’t want you to think I forgot.”

Fuming, Aspen actually stomped her foot in frustration. “Ohh, it isn’t anyone’s business that you were there. So kindly keep that to yourself from now on.”

“Like you are doing, right now?”

Realization crashed in. “You…you can rot in hell for all I care!” Aspen shouted, as she grabbed her cart and shoved it up to the line.

Jasmine Hamlin unwittingly makes a proposition to her friend Reese Bryant. She tries to recant but he dares her to take a chance to walk on the wild side. Unable to resist the dare and the passion she feels for him she accepts.

Her plan? They play by her rules and the affair will end when they both are fulfilled- as long as she can keep her control they can still be friends. But Reese wants to be more than friends.

His plan? To break her rules even as he fulfills her fantasies and make sure their affair never ends.

Excerpt

I can’t enjoy the damn movie. I don’t understand why I can’t stop thinking about him. Snap out of it. He is your friend. You share almost everything. Except sex! Oh, there’s the problem. But I can have sex with him. Oh, stop it! Get that out of your mind. Sex! There it goes again! What would I say?

“I want you–naked, sweaty, on the floor, the wall, or anywhere I can get you.” The words were out before she even realized she’d spoken aloud.

She looked into his shocked face, horrified. “Please tell me I did not say that out loud.” She felt her cheeks heat in mortification.

A roughish grin spread over his face as Reese replied, “Yes, you did.”

“I didn’t mean it. I’m in a huge nightmare. Forget I said it.” Jasmine covered her eyes, bending her head forward.

“No, I won’t forget it.” His voice deepened, sounding even sexier.

“You always had a mean streak in you. I don’t know why you can’t give me a break and do something I say for once,” she rambled through her splayed fingers.

Reese reached over, lifted her hands from her eyes, then put them over her mouth, gazing at her. She was startled by the desire she saw etched on his face.

“Jazz, stop. You said it, and if you would let me reply: I agree.”

Her eyes widened as Reese slowly let go of her hands.

She stared at him, dumbfounded. What do I do now? She breathed in and out quickly. Fear choked her.

“Jazz, are you hyperventilating on me? Say something. Come on, don’t lose it on me. I’ve been waiting for this for two years.”

“Why? When?” she croaked.

“When what?” he asked. Jasmine stared at him. He stared back at her with a look that dared her to say it, and she never backed down from a dare.

“When do you want to do it?”

“It? You can do better than that. Tell me what you want, and I might answer you,” Reese arrogantly replied.

“Sex! All right? Sex! There. I said it! You are so frustrating. Happy now?”

Smugly, he replied, “Yes, I am. Now.”

“Now what? You want to torture me some more?”

He looked at her with a raised eyebrow.

“Oh. You mean, ‘now’?” She was looking into his heated hazel eyes. Only, they were no longer hazel, but had liquefied into a steaming topaz. The desire she saw in them took her breath away. Shaking her head, she backed away from him. Nodding, he followed her. Recovering from her surprise, she stopped backing up and stood her ground.

“Stop looking at me like that.”

“Like what?”

“Like I’m an ice cream cone you can’t wait to lick up and down.”

“I don’t want to lick you up and down.”

She released a quick breath.

“I want to eat you whole.”

The only problem is the bride’s sister, who is a decadent distraction. What can he do when confronted with his ultimate temptation? Be seduced and hope it all works out in the end.

Let the seduction begin.

Excerpt

Say something you idiot. Paula returned his look unable to come up with a thing to say. He nodded, then stepped around her and started to walk away.

Turning quickly Paula cursed herself. Be bold, be daring. Don’t be shy. Come on. “Paula.”

The man turned and looked at her in question.

Cursing her shy nature Paula tried again. “My name is Paula.”

His answer was gruff. “Markus.”

He looked at her waiting. She thought of what she should say.

“I saw you in the ballroom earlier. Why’d you look so miserable?”

He smiled slightly. “Weddings.”

She laughed in understanding. “You hate weddings to. Thank God. I thought I was the only one.” Leaning against the wall she looked at him and grinned. “Can you believe all the hoopla? I don’t get it. All they need to do is get in front of a minister and say yes and be done with it.”

He looked amused, walked closer then leaned against the wall beside her. Paula felt deliciously crowded. She stilled a shudder before it could escape.

“Yes. People don’t realize that all this is not necessary.” He shook his head causing the braid that rested on his should to move.

Before she could think about it her hand reached out to touch his hair. His hand flashed out and caught hers before she could touch it.

Blurb

An uncontrollable wildfire rages reuniting two old lovers, will they survive or will the blazing inferno snuff out their happy ending?

Teague “TJ” Johnson loves being a smokejumper. Roaring down a fast line into the middle of a fire didn’t faze him, but losing the only woman who’d ever meant anything to him did. Five years later and he could still see her just as plain as day: five-seven, toffee skin, an athletic build given to her from years of boxing, and a smile that could melt glaciers.

Erin “Mongoose” Watford is a mechanic in her area’s Forest service air squadron, The Hellcats. When they were called in to assist out in the Pacific Norwest, she ran into a man she never thought she’d see again. He looked better than ever. Standing six-one with dark mocha skin and medium brown eyes that seemed to stare into her soul, he made a most appealing and alarming package. Erin had run away from the feelings Teague had stirred within her, and seeing him again makes those feelings blaze with a ferocity that rivals the very fire they are fighting.

TJ has no intention of letting Erin go again. When Erin finally accepts where her heart truly lies will she be too late to tell Teague?

Excerpt

Teague felt her before he saw her. That tingling only she brought him skated up his spine. Moving farther into the room, he found her with his gaze. A smile flitted across his face.

Of course. Where else would you be at 3:30 in the morning, Erin, but in the ring?
He padded closer, watching her dodge and jab with an imaginary opponent. His gaze lingered over the fact she only wore a white sports bra that zipped down the front and black low-rise boy fit shorts.

A groan escaped him. Her dark skin shone with a sheen of sweat. Her hair was up in a ponytail and it moved in tandem with her graceful motions. He skimmed over the muscles in her legs and arms as she worked out.

Amazing.

Beautiful.

Tempting.

Tantalizing.

He didn’t stop until he neared the ring. Standing tall, he allowed his bag to hit the floor with a loud thud. That got her attention.

Her eyes widened in surprise before she got her emotions under control. Standing in the middle of the ring, she stretched her neck and shook her shoulders, trying to stay loose. “Here for a workout?”

“Wanna spar?” Teague asked, leaning against the rope.

“Why not?” She did a bit of in place jogging while he slid under and climbed into the ring. “Do you want some gear?”

He looked at her, her hands were wrapped but she was gloveless. “No. I’ll be fine.”

She shrugged. “Suit yourself.” Her dark eyes watched him telling him she was waiting for him to make the first move.

Teague bounced around, finding his footing and balance. He almost lost them both as the sparkle he remembered seeing in her eyes when they were together appeared. Erin Watford loved to box.

He took the first swing and then it was on after that. They feinted, dodged, and tossed punches back and forth. Teague never had to check his swing because he knew he wouldn’t be landing any direct blows on her.

Watching the pleasure on her face, sent a wave of longing through him. He was still in love with her. Deliberately, Teague allowed her to land some punches on his stomach and when she did, he wrapped his arms around her and took them both down to the mat where after he took the brunt of the hit, he rolled them over so she was beneath him.

“What are you doing?” she hissed even as her eyes showed him her desire.

“What I should have done yesterday when you walked in here, back into my life.”

Teague kissed her. Wrapped one hand around her ponytail and swept his tongue through her mouth like a wildfire. He groaned as her familiar taste assaulted him. His body responded violently. He wanted her.

Excerpt

His fist clenched, thinking of Jasmine’s refusal to acknowledge that they had more than just amazing sex. Scowling, he slammed down the water on the marble counter and walked to the door off to the side of the kitchen.

Opening it, he stepped into a tastefully decorated bedroom. Reese stripped as he made his way to the bathroom. Turning on the shower, he stepped in and lathered up.

Why is she so damned stubborn? Everything can’t be her way.

Quickly, he stepped out of the shower and dried off, leaving the towel draped around his hips. Reese cut back through the kitchen, then the living room, going up the stairs to his bedroom. Entering his bedroom, he was startled, then pleased, to see Jasmine sleeping face down in bed. Reese felt as if his heart would burst out of his chest. Walking over to stand at the foot of the bed, he memorized her beautiful, sculpted face as she slept. The high cheekbones, soft, lush mouth, and stubborn chin, all leading down to her bare, smooth mocha shoulders.

Her soft breaths echoed in the room. Looking at her firm, naked leg sticking out of the covers, he was aware of blood rushing to his cock, His body throbbed with the need to claim her and make her completely his. He padded on silent feet to the dresser, stripping off the towel and retrieving some condoms.

Glancing up at the mirror above the cherry wood dresser, he saw his features tightened with desire, his eyes hardened with purpose. He felt the call of his mate. Stifling the growl that came to his throat, he returned to the bed. He kept one condom, throwing the rest on the nightstand. He went to the foot of the bed, ripping open the condom, then smoothing it onto his straining erection. Stroking himself, he gently removed the covers from Jasmine. She didn’t stir. Silently, he vowed that, after tonight, she would be his.

After the suspicious death of her husband Jackson, Belinda Ashbury, mother of twin girls, struggled with life and a ten-year-old secret. Blackmailed into a loveless marriage, she gave up the only man she truly loved – Jackson’s younger brother, Matt. When he walked back into her life, Belinda prepared herself for a drastic change.

Matt Ashbury returned home after receiving a mysterious note about his brother’s death. But the note is not all that drew him back home, he yearned to see Belinda, the woman who broke his heart. Keeping his cool while being near her would be difficult. Will they keep their distance, or will old embers flame making their reunion worth the wait?

Excerpt

Belinda took one of the seats the girls had abandoned and indicated Matt should take the other. Before that morning she’d never imagined she would ever have occasion to see him again. Seeing him now – his face a drawn mask — she almost wished she’d been allowed her last good memories of him. “Matt, what’s wrong?”

He didn’t speak immediately. Instead, he stared at her. His intense gaze swept across her cheeks, mouth and neck before slowly drifting to her hands. Finally, he pulled a folded envelope from his shirt pocket. Handing it to her, he sat back in his chair. “I received this in the mail a couple of days ago.”

She looked at the postmark on the envelope. The letter had been sent from Tarboro, a town about two hours west of Fairchild. Pulling the stark white sheet out with shaky hands, she blanched when she read the five words typed in large font.

ASK HER HOW JACKSON DIED.

Her mouth was suddenly too dry. She set down the letter. “I don’t understand. What does this mean?”

His reply made the hairs on the back of her neck stand up. “I don’t know, Belinda. I was hoping you could tell me.”
